Right quick, and for reasons that are opaque to me, I want to give you a couple of the very best counterarguments to a couple of the things I’ve been saying.
Yesterday I linked to Brian Berletic’s video on Syria, which, best I can tell, is very close to the truth of it.
Later on, I came across another less robustly truthful version.
Congressman Ro Khanna Interviewed By Aaron Mate’ and Katie H.
Berletic knows, and Mate’ knows how things really stand (that’s my opinion of course). In this interview, one of the better Congresspeople offers a sanitized version much closer to the mainstream account. Mate’ pushes him pretty hard, but not too hard, so that he’ll have another chance someday I think.
Ro Khanna has presidential ambitions and can’t be drawn into agreeing with the whole truth.
IMHO.

Matt Taibbi and Mehdi Hasan THROW DOWN on MSNBC
This is DueDissidence doing a long analysis of an interview between the gentlemen named in the title.
I doubt you care much about any of it, and I doubt you should, but now it’s there on the record.
The Young Turks entitled their similar piece: “Mehdi Hasan Makes Matt Taibbi SQUIRM Over His Twitter Files Lies”.
Which tells you which side they’re on …
I’m not linking the fucking young turks.
Instead, I’ll link to Matt Taibbi’s most recent incarnation of a site, which appears to be a heavily modified Substack page.
Where you can read some interesting platform news like:
Taibbi: Earlier this afternoon, I learned Substack links were being blocked on Twitter. Since being able to share my articles is a primary reason I use Twitter, I was alarmed and asked what was going on.
It turns out Twitter is upset about the new Substack Notes feature, which they see as a hostile rival. When I asked how I was supposed to market my work, I was given the option of posting my articles on Twitter instead of Substack.
Not much suspense there; I’m staying at Substack.
I tell you all that to tell you the next thing.
