After All, It Was You and Me

Who killed John Kennedy? What do you really think?

Why is it that sixty years after he died, they still won’t release the last three percent of what the government knows about the murder?

Who killed his brother? Who killed the Reverend Martin, and Fred Hampton, and Malcolm X?

Tell me one actual reason why the Empire invaded the, uh, sovereign nation of Iraq again? There were no steel tubes and there were no WMDs and their dictator had nothing to do with the Twin Towers, and “the oil” was a drop in the world bucket. So: Why? Simple question, ennit?

Was it because I am a kooky conspiracy theorist, do you think?

Maybe.

Yesterday it was announced that those wicked scheming Chinese had brokered a peace between Iran and Saudi Arabia, who basically hated each other because of the Sunni/Shia religious schism. As I wrote elsewhere yesterday, this is an even bigger deal than it seems. It’s going to prove to be a major symbolic historical marker.

China Brokers Deal Between Saudi Arabia and Iran – The World is Picking the Carrot over the Stick!

Yet strangely … not everyone is happy about it.

Geopolitically, the world divides into four parts.

The simplest is the global North. Nothing much there. We’re waiting for the ice to catastrophically melt so we can all fight about who gets to exploit whatever lies underneath it, besides moon-sized geysers of methane gas.

The West consists of western Europe, north America, and a few freakish outliers like Australia and Israel. It’s the lands where the people think they’re white.

The East, divided into ‘far’ and ‘middle’ is everything from about Turkey to the province of Taiwan in The One China, and as a matter of current practicality, it also now includes Russia.

Everything else below a line that stretches from El Paso through Libya and India over to the Philippine archipelago, is called the global South. It’s where the blacks and the browns (and ‘mestizos’) abide, if you like dividing humanity up that way, which I don’t.

For the last several centuries, the wild white West has ruled the whole thing, mostly, off and on, or aspired to at least. It’s been the home of Progress in many ways, and in the last century, two brutal civil wars among Westerners turned into World Wars.

The last of these was terminated with the deployment of two horrifying weapons based on nuclear power, which melted down thousands of Eastern citizens instantly and left thousands more to die slow irradiated deaths, which proved beyond a shadow of a body that Eastern civilian lives were worth far less than Western ones in uniform.

Actually the war never ended. It just turned “cold” and ushered in a vigorous round of little wars, like Vietnam and Korea, many of which such conflicts were fought with proxies, or covert actions. The East went largely communist and atheist while capitalist and nominally christian ‘democracies’ remained the favored mode of operation in the West.

After fifty years of this pointless bloody nonsense, the West declared themselves to have won, and the Americans in particular announced that they were now the Sole Superpower, a shining beacon on the hill, and the global Hegemon, undisputed leaders of the Free First World.

But oddly, they didn’t seem too secure about any of those pronouncements. In defiance of their own promises, they continued to expand their ‘North Atlantic Treaty’ alliance right up to the borders of the East on the Russian doorstep. They vastly expanded influence operations all over the world, consistently looking for ways fair or foul to install friendly puppet governments wherever they could, and the military-industrial complex continued to mutate and expand insanely in spite of the fact that all credible threats to their hegemony had supposedly been crushed for good.

Then they invaded the sovereign nation of Iraq, and to this day no one can give a reasonable answer as to Why. The most likely answer seems to be that it was a money-laundering operation designed to transfer wealth away from average American taxpayers, and into the hands of a tiny oligarchic elite centered around defense contractors, politicians, and an ever-more propagandistic media establishment totally owned by fewer and fewer companies. Five or six at last count.

It was a resounding success, judged on those completely illegitimate and immoral aims. Thank you, George. Thank you, Hillary. Thank you, Joe.

I’m afraid I’ve blathered on about nothing for far too long already.

Time’s up.

Now who killed the democratically elected President called Kennedy, and why?
