Dore and Doel and Kulinski. The brothers Mate’ junior and senior. at times One in twenty stories on TYT or The Hill. These are my primary news sources, give or take a few podcasts. In these hot days of spotty net connectivity, even these fade away in daily importance. Shepherding resources, I pull from the backlog of things I yanked down and saved for Later.
The single largest folder of these right now is full of pieces from another YT channel, The Michael Brooks show. Much more like a podcast than a news source, in that it doesn’t care about the 24 hour news cycle and takes a longer view.
Michael is too rough around the edges for even the fringe of the mainstream, but sometimes I see him put on a tie and act like a pundit for ten minutes, on Krystal Ball’s show or something. Which is kind of endearing. I used to do the same kind of thing myself, when I was Reporting. I don’t do ties anymore and I never will again, but he’s still young enough that it might make a difference for him.
The Democratic Swindle (TMBS 130)
I offer this shorter piece of his work because I think it’s smart. Unlike Jimmy Dore, he takes a nuanced view of the election, and says if you live in a swing state, you have to hold your nose and vote for Biden. Just as they told us with Hillary of course.
But that’s not the end of his argument either, just the beginning.
I can live with that–I just need to figure out if I’m living in a swing state this time, and if I care either way.
