Kari Lake is a former Phoenix news anchor who ran for governor last time and lost by the narrowest of margins.
This time she decided to run for Senator instead.
Last year the head of her party in the state pulled her aside for a private conversation, not knowing that Ms. Lake was wearing a microphone and recording the conversation.
He offered her a blank check to drop out of the senatorial race–a bribe–and said that the offer came ‘from back East’, presumably New York, DC, or wherever the power really lives.
A couple days ago she released the recording and suggested he resign as Chairman of the state party, warning that if he didn’t, she had more damning audio to share.
He resigned real fast, screaming like the trapped rat he is, that he was being blackmailed and noting that he regretted some of the things he had been caught on tape saying.
It seems to me that the lesson of this breaking story is simple and obvious.
This is the way ‘democracy’ works in modern America. Money is at the heart of everything. The only difference was that this time the rigged game was momentarily exposed, apparently by a rare flash of personal integrity. Maybe.
The man, and the men he spoke for, should be going to jail. They will not ever, obviously.
It really doesn’t matter much that both Ms. Lake and the rat that was heading her party were Republicans. It really doesn’t matter that Kari Lake is a fanatical Trumper.
This is how it works in ‘both’ parties, both wings of the Uniparty, all the time, regardless of who or what you think you’re voting for.
Let’s say you lived in Arizona and could vote there.
Would it be more right to vote for Democratic Senator Krysten Sinema to return to Capitol Hill as your representative and continue to play her ugly sleazy corrupt centrist games for six more years, doing the bidding of the elites to the letter and stacking up even more cash?
Would it be better to vote for Kari Lake, MAGA Queen, the whistleblower in this case?
What’s the moral thing here my loves … and why?
