There is a first real post up now at the other blog, for Anaprim.

I went to go grab the whole chicken and got diverted.

All the birds they had were 5+ pounds. Probably they still would have fit, but I wasn’t sure. Then … there was a sale sign on the London Broil Round Roast–a really good sale, more than half off, and not much more per pound than the chicken. Plus of course no paying for the weight of the bones.

So I went that way, and although the how-to was fairly obvious (based on the pork version), I’ve already pulled up a video that is mostly right and includes good clear cook times.

By dusk I should have another glorious winter dinner ready to indulge in.

A man named Garland Nixon lays down a fact so obvious it’s hard to see.

What we think Trump is doesn’t matter.

What matters is what The People think (because Democracy!, right? right?), and what they think is that Trump is Change; an alternative at last to the same-old-bullshit as usual that has always run the Empire for the benefit of the ruling elite–whether it’s the blue flavor of BS like Grandpa Joe, or the red flavor of BS like Nikki ‘War Karen’ Haley.

Is he really and honestly Change? Very probably not. But that, my dear, is completely and utterly irrelevant.

You can scream and shout all you like about what stupid hicks that majority of The People allegedly are. But as long as you continue to celebrate Democracy, and cheer for spreading Democracy to every corner of the benighted globe at the point of a gun or a psyop, the crime of their so-called stupidity is also not germane, not even a little.

Woo-hooing about all the court cases and other associated lawfare attempts to derail his campaign is, in the eyes of a majority of the people, woo-hooing about an attempt to subvert their will, and to turn democracy itself into even more of a sham and an illusion than they already believe it to be.

Crossing your fingers and praying for some immoral legal miracle to save you from the that exact Will of the People is therefore itself self-evidently immoral, at least if you want to still keep crowing about how much you believe that this government is Of Them, By Them, and For Them.

Sure. I could be wrong. If so I’m sure you’ll explain to me how any other interpretation is internally consistent and congruent with common sense … and I promise for the sake of my health to not be holding my breath for it.
