Update: Tarping

What I actually bought and have on the way.

White Duck 18 oz. 100% Cotton Canvas Tarp, 20′ x 24
(That’s the Amazon link but I really bought it from White Duck’s own site, on sale)

2 state of the art tarp poles
(actual site)

2 experimentally cheap tarp poles from Hikeman

Hikeman 10 Pack 4mm Camping Rope Reflective Outdoor Guy Lines with Aluminum Guyline Adjuster Tensioners Nylon Tent Tie Downs for Hiking Backpacking Tarp
A video on using the rather funky tensioner buckles

STAYGROW 2 Pairs of Adjustable 1/8″ Rope Ratchet Hangers, Heavy-Duty Tie-Down Ratcheting Strap with Stainless Steel Gears & Hooks, 300 lbs Combined Weight Capacity per 4-Pack
These are for backup/alternative to the funky tensioner buckles.

Outback Element® – 15 Tent Stakes Heavy Duty with Glow in The Dark Heads + Bonus Canvas Carry Pouch and Hex Drill Bit
A video on ’em.

$348.49 tarp
$99.33 for 2 GE and 2 Hikeman poles
$76.28 stakes and lines (3 items above)
Total: 524.10

Things I Didn’t Buy, But Might

Very Spendy 10″ Screw Stakes (bought the much cheaper 8″ ones) (a vid)

danchel stakes (massive steel spikes that would hammer in, instead of screw in)

REDCAMP Heavy Duty Suction Cup Anchors @ $15.99 (yet another tie-down point/tensioning option)

I think setting this up might be a long video when we get back, or maybe a couple of videos with field-testing too. It’s kinda exciting.
In a very low key way …
I’m still looking for a field chair to furnish this ‘new place’ but for testing I can take a non-field version too.
