Post-Bernie I rushed right on past the notion that electoralism and alleged democracy could ever, ever be the path to salvation. Nope. Not even if the resurrected Charles Bukowski himself were to live in the White House in white robes stained with ash and gin.
For a viral time I lived in a tenuous state that said salvation through any social means was unlikely, but if it existed, it would be through Anarchistic ideals. It was my agnostic phase toward ‘civilization’.
As of yesterday I’m officially atheist on the question.
So I guess I have to start calling myself a post-anarcho belletrist.
Or maybe just a pagan.
Or maybe I’ll become free of any names or labels at all, yeah? That sounds really nice.
A packing dump for packing day. Crap for the boxes, some of it gems and some of it tripe. Garage sale.

Ukraine Puts NBC Reporter On “Kill List”
I watched a whole lot of video of Matt Taibbi and a colleague testifying and answering questions about the Twitter Files incident. Some of the Republicans did themselves credit. To a person, the Dems bombed and looked like fools. One Texas rep was extremely critical but didn’t have the slightest idea what “attribution” meant in journalism. Beyond that, their entire attitude was condescending, petty, defensive, and dumb. Yes all of them. That ratfucker Debbie Wasserman Schulz was the worst. Here’s a video analyzing a guy who was fourth or fifth worst, maybe.

January 6 Committee Lied About Cop’s Death!
Were you still laboring under the misperception that the J6 shamans and fools killed a cop? They didn’t, but it’s quite understandable why you would think it. Insurrection my ass.
On the same subject, Chris Hedges has written a piece (“Lynching The Deplorables”) about how the Qanon Shaman got four years of hard time for basically doing nothing besides being too photogenic.
It’s getting a lot of attention, including of course over at DueDissidence.
Super cool discussion running afoul of cops

the global war on the poor: a critique from the left
A characteristically solid and thoughtful Grayzone interview with two people you never heard of.

The dirty secret to credit card rewards
An uncharacteristically solid and nearly thoughtful NPR segment.
Here’s how capitalism works, kids, using an example from your life.
Long story short, you the relatively well-off person use your pretty card and get “points” or cashback or rewards or whatever; lets say it’s for a motel room.
The poor person with the non-rewarding card, or some sap like me still trying to pay cash? Your rewards end up being subsidized by those people. They pay the “same” for the motel room, but they don’t get the rewards and you do. The segment is two very square mainstream people clucking over that fact and discussing how nothing can be done about it.
The reason any of that matters is: This is the same shit that gets pulled internationally on the global poor on a much bigger scale, and in dozens, hundreds of almost invisible ways. Invisible, so you don’t have to see that your Lifestyle actively contributes to the poor staying poor. You have enough plausible deniability even if you do see to be able to tell yourself it’s no big deal and you’re still, fershure fershure, one of the Good Guys.
I respectfully submit that you’re wrong, and that it matters a whole hell of a lot.
While admitting that the NPR dweebs are probably right about there being nothing we can do …
Short of a rejection of capitalism and all its cultural baggage on that part of all of us. In other words, a Revolution. Yeah I know.
Hey it’s yet another random pic lost on the desktop …
