Trump ADMITS U.S. Was Behind 2014 Coup In Ukraine
The conceit of this piece is awkward and dumb, much like Trump himself. He can’t really “admit” to a deep state crime that was committed by the worst people in the Obama administration (the same ones that are overseeing the destruction of American hegemony under Biden).
Nevertheless … it’s worth hearing his perspective on issues of war and peace (if you can stand to listen to that yappy whine), because he’s not entirely wrong, and the parts he is right about have a real and even legitimate appeal to every other ‘voter’ in this Home of the Brave.
He beat Hillary fair and square for reasons that had nothing to do with “Russian interference” and everything to do with the horrible contradictions and routine cynical bullshit that the Clinton camp tried to recycle yet again. He almost did the same to Joe, and it’s looking more and more like he might get another chance on that one too.
In the second half of this video, we learn why that won’t do any good either. Trump might not be any worse than the average Dempuppet, and it is technically true that he didn’t get us into any new wars like both Obama and Biden have. But because he is a regrettably vain and stupid man, he surrounded himself with buffoons like Pompeo who gutted and deflected his natural isolationism and pointed the country down the same old interventionist path anyway.
There is no reason to suspect that he wouldn’t do the same thing again.

The Floridians, and I tangentially reference DeSantis here, are no less vain, but they are less stupid.
GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz Wins House Vote On U.S. Pullout From Syria
I’m conditionally proud of you, RepMatt, and I see nothing to argue with in this:
… especially compared to the comments of Dem wonk Dana Stroul later in the video, explaining why the Empire and the M.I.C. are occupying one-third of Syria to this day.
If I could have any faith that someone like Gaetz would really and consistently believe what he is saying here, I’d happily vote for his skeevy icky ass over a Pramila Jayapal or a John Kerry any day of the week.
I don’t have that faith. Instead I believe, so far, that his symbolic vote is just another episode of partisan political opportunism.
Even so, it’s not hard for me to see why an average half-informed red-stater would vote for him, over and over every two years.
Same with Trump, nationally.
We don’t have actual alternatives, and we don’t have a legitimate democracy either.
We have flavors of ugly and that’s all we have.
