Somewhere in the low leninist ramblings yet another idea is flang; I passover it even though it strikes me.
The concept is something like:
You have no obligations in this life except to live happily.
It was spoken by a single man of course. If he had kids, the statement would be false. Even with just a wife, it’s true, but less true. Caveats aside,
Your only responsibility is to enjoy, to live in joy.
This isn’t hedonism per se, not if the kind of happiness and joy you feel has some nuance, some maturity.
Then I think I’m buying, yeah?
I slap myself and rattle my own cage about going faster. Setting up the monetization and all that.
But you know … letting that be a responsibility or an obligation just fucks me up and makes me miserable.
Right now some things don’t get done, right now the trains don’t always run on time.
Right now I am happy, Right now I am enjoying my one wild and precious life.
That’s enough.
Outta you, pal.
