A moderately successful new recipe, posted to the rEvolving Crocker link in the sidebar, inspired by the cold wave. Green Chili Verde, and it might form the basis for virtuous home eating until Spring at least.

New crockpot and it’s bigger. So I added extra liquid and dropped in a dozen small red taters. These I ate first on waking, and poured the soupy part down my grateful throat over the course of the day.

The remaining quart of meat and chili is the important part, because the way to eat this properly is as a burrito.

By now I’ve had a couple and the trick going forward will be to drain the soup part off thoroughly.
