Working Theory

Before I settled on WordPress again for the restart, I looked at a whole bunch of simpler systems based on text files served up through some minimal interface.

Although I succumbed to the lure of a pretty pre-built template, and the convenience of database-driven software, I keep a raw copy of the visual and especially the written content for my own archive.

It looks like this.

I wrote yesterday’s post uncommon early, and all day I left the text file backup open on my desktop, because I wanted it to show me where to go next, what to do next, to suggest what real practical resistance looks like, to not just monitor my own shifts, but to control them in order to move them in the direction of a higher good.

My working theory, though, is that all that is mostly pointless.

Staying focused on what is best in ourselves every day is the divine path, and hard enough unto itself.

Postit notes are useful tools. They are not the way to salvation.

The kingdom of heaven is within you, moment by fleeting precious moment.
