A long day of deep cleaning and not much else. When I say deep, I mean the floors are done, and so is the wiping down of six hundred dollars in twenties, the part of the ATM pull that I didn’t spend right away. The careful washing of chiles and oranges. Crazy chores that didn’t ever really exist before in some cases.
All through I caught up on podcasts and for once I have nothing significant to report on that front, except this.
Mike Moore, at one point in what has become a virtually daily podcast, tossed this line off casually
... not going back to the old way when this is over …
Which says it all. We probably couldn’t even if we wanted to.
But I don’t want to, either.
Life begins again.
