I don’t know how it’s pronounced but it means eight o’clock in the night which it is now. I fell to sleep in mid-afternoon when it was still quite hot, but I left the bedroom window open because I could feel the storm coming.
Now we have 63 beautiful degrees, the lowest number I’ve seen day or night for many months here. As soon as I woke and stood up, there was a vicious flash of light from the east out the bathroom window, just a little porthole. As I stood and pissed slow the deep crazy rumble came from that direction, very far off and not loud, just sustained and awe-inspiring.
It happened again out to the south as I opened the front door wide to let the coolness in through the screen.
I love to sleep when I need it and in the rain.
